1999- Signed with the Knitting Factory Records NYC. The world’s leading progressive music, downtown NYC. Promoting musicians such as Marc Ribot and John Zorn. Made 3 Albums from 1999 to 2003 toured and performed in Jazz Festivals in EU with the Ori Kaplan Quartet
1999- Toured with Firewater (world punk) till 2004
2000- Founding member of Gogol Bordello- (Mother of Gypsy Punk) toured with Gogol from 2001-2004
2003- Member of J.U.F (early version of Balkan Beat Box) with Tamir Muskat , Eugene Hutz, Oren Kaplan. The album revolutionized downtown NYC club music and created an Immigrant Urban club culture which spread all around the globe to be morphed into a thriving global gipsy revival .
2003- House DJ for the famed Brooklyn RUBULAD mega alternative party ( 4 lofts , 2 floors, 1500 party goers, the party is running for 15 years now and is legendary
2004- Created Balkan Beat Box with Tamir Muskat in NYC. Been touring globally since then. All major global festivals and clubs from America to Europe to Japan and S. America. BBB had influenced dozens of bands and producers and the Global bass movement and pioneered a whole style of electronic new fusion with grit, beat and political sense behind it
2005- house DJ in Nublu NYC lower eastside global beat club. The home of Brazilian Girls, Wax Poetics and many more.
2006- Recorded Shotnez band which Kaplan founded. With Tamir Muskat, Stephen Ulrich, Itamar Ziegler. The music was described as Meditteranian Surf NOIR
2007- released NU MED the 2nd BBB album and toured widely with it
2008 – BBB was nominated to BBC world music Award in 4 categories
2009- Moved to Europe and started Porzellan Studios in Vienna. Writing and producing film music and DJ remixes ,Touring all around EU , USA , S. America as DJ Shotnez.
